Help with tube

Hi all this is the first time I've posted here. I have purchased a ten inch mirror and are looking for a tube to begin building a scope which I have never done before. I would love to hear what others have used for tubes and any tips on where I could get a good one. Also the mirrors focal length is 47 inches.

Hi Jas,

Welcome to iceinspace! I used a cardboard (sonotube) for a 10 inch which worked well. I still have it (the tube) so if you would like it PM me. I live in Mount Martha which might be a bit far for you.

I just rebuilt the tube using three straight aluminium struts like shown here:

So far I am pleased with the results.
