Question Oldish Tripod

I found this tripod in a second hand store and wondered if anyone here knew anything about it. It is stamped made in Japan and has Hanimex Branding and on the ring on top it has the word BARTON stamped underneath. The top bit has a swivel ball and socket setup that can be locked in any position. I thought it looked well made not cheap looking at all a real precise piece of equipment. The legs twist to lock in position and have small locking pins at each extending point.

Looks a bit like it came from a projector screen.
That's my guess

Well, Hanimex were a brand of cameras amongst other things in the 70's. So I'd imagine it's just a regular camera tripod.
