Terry's already posted a thread in General Chat about the eagerly awaited outburst of this 'famous' recurrent nova. I had great plans of doing early morning visual obs on it through January, but life and work got in the way, LOL! The outburst timing wouldn't have suited anyway as it turned out, first noticed at 28.43 Jan UT.

Did get a shot of it in very bright moonlight last Sat morning though and it had dimmed off considerably, after only 1.3 days from the first observation! Rapt to get a few photons anyway.

You know it's funny that this goes off, 29P goes into outburst and where am i? STUCK UNDER A FRICKIN CLOUD!
