Is there anything you IIS folks don't know?

I am constantly amazed with topics & answers that appear here.
I don't think I have ever seen a " I don't know". I did see an "I will find out" once. Any topic, any science, amazing.

Do it

Just make sure your health is in order and you feel good...otherwise it'll be a struggle.

There are exactly 6.2 things we don't know...

When we find out what they are we'll let you know...

Dr Beavis was a family friend, when I was young he would teach me all sorts of things My father an OAM engineering recipient was a close friend of his.
He was the one who had me hold the moon rock in about 1970.
I still have books he gave me.

I find that there is stuff I actually “know” from personal experience and insight, then there is stuff that I simply repeat, having read or heard about it elsewhere. The skill is in acknowledging the two are quite different and writing accordingly. Mostly I succeed (I think!), but sometimes I do fall flat on my face.

Cheers

Dennis

Ah but is it "know" or is it "have an opinion on"?

Everyone knows that 99% of statistics are made up, normally to suit the user's prejudices.

Even this one.

Knowing, such as ouch!, the fire is hot, or how my Mewlon focuses, or maybe how I calibrate my auto guider, etc. rather than just an opinion such as “milk chocolate is better than dark chocolate” or “Canon is better than Nikon” ‘cos I read about it on the net but haven’t yet picked up a Nikon to use it.

Cheers

David,

I was dissapointed in the title of this thread,

"Is there anything you IIS folks dont know?

Surely you should write in the collective, after all we are a community, and if you haven't been able to answer any of the questions yet it is only because the buggers keep asking the wrong ones.

Regards,
Greg.

Reminds me of this one:
"Between my wife and I we know Everything...go ahead ask me a question, anything..."
(gets asked a question)...
"Hmmmmm....that's one the wife knows....ask me another one..."
(gets asked another question)....
"That's another one the wife would know....ask me another one..."

you get the idea...

Depth of knowledge is the thing - I once hear it said that an expert is someone who learns more and more about less and less until they know absolutely everything about nothing at all
