Front Surface Mirror

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to order fron surface gimbaled mirror from this site http://www.frontsurfacemirror.com/BounceMirror.htm for my binocular mount.
Can some one let me know if this mirror will work correctly with 25x100 AOE binoculars. Everywhere I read max mentioned magnification is x20

If they say it is suitable for 20X probably means it actually starts to lose sharpness at 15X . These things are just float glass, not optically ground and polished flat...by optical grade they mean freedom from scratches not super flat . Being only 6mm thick it would be impossible to polish to any great flatness on a 20" X 20" piece.

I bought the 10"x10".

I think you'll need at least the 12"x12" for your 25x100s

I've only done a bit of testing with 12x 60 and even less with 20x80. So far the view though my el-cheapo binoculars doesn't look much worse with the light bouncing off this mirror. But I'm not particularly fussy so I wouldn't be surprised if Mark's words are the situation with the mirror I bought.

I see you have posted in my thread - I'll move over there.
