Good seeing in Melb
Nice seeing at the moment. Good detail on Jupiter with Europa on the limb casting a shadow nicely balanced with the GRS.

We'd have equally good seeing here tonight....if the danged cloud would clear!!!!
Still, it's looking quite good for the next few days.

Dave's are cool, aren't we? I used to (years back) play western districts grade c snooker (Sydney) - we had 4 Dave's in our team of Six and it was hilarious introducing everyone

Agree with David, Nice observing weather - not too cold, clear skies. Wandered around Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pegasus with the SDM. Very limited at present with my southern views.

Last weekend (10th) was beautiful and clear....... I had acute food poisoning. Observing was replaced by spending the entire damn weekend in bed and well....lets just say events a little less pleasant than a night under the stars.... there was no way in hell I could go outside....

pgc, it's not fair, is it? There's always the next time though (that's how I look at it). Wanting every night to be perfect is unatural and just a wee bit greedy on our part I think. Gotta take the good with the bad. Anyways, not being at the scope lets you do lots of things like: catch up on IIS goss, learn how to use that new program you bought, work on images, work in a viewing plan, or simply catch up on some sleep.

I was annoyed and that's putting it lightly. Also having the flu is not nearly as bad as food poisoning, as I now know.
Just another obstacle to add to the list I guess...although atleast it's not nearly as common as Melbourne Cloud... imagine having gastro for 365 days per year for eternity....no thanks!
