M17-The Swan

I thought I would share this with you all. My Compendium shot - kind of an adopted self portrait now. I am pretty happy with this.

I wrote a little blog on it as well.

Very nice 'Natural' shot Peter.
Subtle colours and very nice processing.
Diffraction spikes on the bright star (bottom left) are a bit obtrusive though IMO.
Great image

Nice one Peter. You can use the shadow/highlight tool in pS to tone down the core if you wish to dim the burning effect on the core. Other than that top shot. Very good focus and guiding.

Peter,

You've picked up some nice detail there.

I'm a fan of diffraction spikes, too. They're the way of the future!

Regards,
Humayun
