Irritating The Sky behaviour, how to fix?

With the mount connected to the sky, if I try to zoom in on another object (drag a box around it and click on it) so I can have a look at what it looks like and maybe slew to it, the new object centers for about a milli second and then the view flicks back to where the scope is, every time, most annoying, means you have to slew the scope 1st, just to have a close look on the sky screen pic.

Is there anyway you can stop the sky being completely stupid and allow viewing other objects on the sky screen without slewing to it 1st ? .

Another reason, despite its power, that I find the sky a pain to use, but I have to, because all the other apps need it.

Hi Fred,
I used to have the same problem. I think you can fix it by De-selecting the "Always keep telescope cross hairs on screen" option in the Telescope > Setup menu.

Cheers

Matt

You can also pause the link between mount and scope. So when you want to go back to where to scope is looking, unpause it.

Cheers
