First Afocal Jupiter

Hi,

Not so long ago i was observing through my 130 mm reflector at jupiter when i thought i'd try and take a photo of it.

equipment- 130 mm reflector
15 mm ep with 2x barlow
panasonic digital cam (not dslr)

technique-what i did was put the cam against the ep and took a video ( very shaky) .Then i paused at a point were it looked good and saved that frame.

tried registax but the video was to shaky.

hope you like it

well done, orestis. Okay, it's not as good as many others posted on this and other forums, but who cares! It proves what you can do with a basic setup, and work on this first image to get better.

Registax will process a planetary image which moves across the field of view without using any form of tracking, so that could be your next goal! I would also advise that you do try the adapter that Carl has suggested.

Keep posting your progress!
