Just arrived is something I have been wanting for some years - DVDs of the BBC TV programs of "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" (1979) and "Smiley's People" (1982). I had seen them available as Region 2 and was waiting for the ABC to bring them out as Region 4.
Searched again the other day and there they were as Region 2+4, available new from the UK. $19.95 each plus $11.95 shipping and I have them in my hot and sweaty little hands.

Some seven hours or more of exciting viewing here. Alec Guinness is superb, as I recall.
(I must pick up "The Russia House" on DVD one day.)
