Heart Nebula

Hi folks,

I did my 1st IC 1805 (in Cassiopeia) and used the 350d mod. with the Canon EF 200 LII.
12x600s with ISO 800.

I had problems with guiding correctly. And the processing was very difficult for me because there are so many stars in the field. So I did the defensive way. I will try this object again an make some things better.
Especially improving the mounting of the Canon, so that I can turn the field for capturing the soul nebula too. You can see a part of it at the edge of the frame.
I think this area is it worth!

Werner,

That's a great start.

Hrm, I'd suggest perhaps dropping back to ISO-400 and taking twice, if not three or four times the exposures.

Give it a go.

Regards,
Humayun

Werner I think this area is worth it too and I agree with H about dropping the ISO and going for more exposure.

In this shot the Heart Neb has a real distinctive shape and stands out well.
Very nicely done.

Hi Humayun and RB,

thanks for your comments. Good idea, I will do it the next time with ISO 400. And with a turned field, so that the soul nebula is in it too.

regards
