2/8/2009 - magnetic detached filament

I`m get sick of to say everyday about seeing here in athens. The situation is the same. Heavy mist and see it at the today solar images.
The region crossing the solar surface but today she has a magnetic detached filament over her.

The region show to going down of magnetic fields.

There is to much filaments around her but in distance.

No series prominences today at this time.

Hi Theo

Thanks for posting and giving me my solar fix - the Sun is my favourite object - big, always changing, always there (weather permitting), always impressive - but I do not find the time to look daily!
