What is this??

Just back from a beautiful sunset on beach, and saw, which I presume is a plane, but 'red' ..... what the. I suppose it is the colours reflected from the colours in the sky, but still ..... tis very red??
2nd pic - there were fish jumping in all directions.
3rd pic - am I lucky or not!!

Oh .. ps ... temp today in Townsville was 27.

Yep, that's a plane....bit out of focus but you can see the contrail behind it. What time was this taken at???. If it was late in the arvo, the colour of the plane would be the norm. The sun must've been quite low below the horizon.

Yes, quickly snapped it Carl, before it disappeared over the trees.
Time would have been about 5.55pm.
Havent seen planes coloured like that ... looked like a glowing ember.

Yes Liz, Sun low down shining through lots of atmosphere and reflecting of the fuselage will give you that effect
