Apologies for rain in Brisbane

Guys, just wanted to post a quick apology for the unseasonal clouds and rain in Brisbane at the moment. I am taking possession of my first telescope this week so the weather will be getting particularly nasty. I expect it to keep that up until at least the first quarter moon is up in the sky and should make for lousy viewing conditions for the next month of weekends.
I can predict that once I do get a viewing session in, all will return to normal.. )

Just getting your first scope and you already have such a fine understanding of astronomy.

You're not the only one to blame.
I got my new Televue Big Barlow on Friday, "Tandum" also took delivery of some gear for his Tak during the week, and of course it was new moon.
But it will all clear for the Grand Opening of the 10 Chain Hill Observatory over at Somerset this coming weekend.
Bring on those clear dark wintery nights. woo hoo!!
(check out the Star Parties forum, it's in the Cambroon thread)
