To all those with Sirius 2.3m dome observatories

I am pleading to anyone with the 2.3m sirius observatory if they could take some pictures of the rope configuration of the shutter system and a few of the walls and dome joints. I lost the images i took of Phils observatory before it was taken apart. In anticipation thanks

Hi David

From memory the base cost around $500 or so, can't remember the exact figure.

For the walls, I stripped clean the old sealant and got some heavy duty wide sealer tape from Bunnings and used that. I put a double strip along the dome flanges, they then bolt together using the 1/4" bolts.

If you like, I can type out the rope sequence from the manual for you, can't take any photos at the mement, belting down rain.

Cheers

You'll find the rope sequence in the attached manual. Can't provide pictures either as the obs is a two hours drive into the woods. Maybe over the weekend if you're still having problems. Not difficult anyway.
