Iss?

I was walking home from work this early evening when at about 6pm I looked up into the sky and saw this really bright object fly across the sky. At first I thought it was a plane but that theory went out the window as it didn't blink at all. I followed it across the sky (almost a straight line) until it got close to the horizon in a south easterly direction before it lost it's brightness.

Did I just witness the ISS?

Hi Greg,

What you saw was the ISS. There was a passing this evening at 6PM, so you were lucky to look up at the sky when you did.

You can use this website to check when there will be a visible ISS transit in your area. http://www.heavens-above.com/
