Black Diamond

HI
I,m selling my 3 month old Skywatcher black Diamond 120mm refractor to help pay for a larger aperture scope. This scope is in mint condition and comes in a dedicated case with all assessories (diagonal, finder scope ,rings ,dovetail and viarable eyepiece ) I have also included a William Optics F-SYN2S NEW GENERATION Synta 2" Crayford focuser with 10:1 2-speed microfocuser, plus a 50mm quick release finderscope bracket!. This focuser will screw on in only 2 min
Total cost all up was $3700 Will part for $2800 + postage Insurance

Im interested in your scope but am not sure if the only difference between the black diamond and the ED120 pro gold tube is just the colour? Can you or someone enlighten me?

from what l have seen they are identical apart from colour, seems to be a marketing ploy and one that has worked.

No it does not but does it make a diffrence in image quality? From my personal comparison, i didnt see any diffrence between BD ED80 and Ed80 Pro in my initial comparison but i need to test a bit more to conclude on that. For me the main diffrence was the focuser.

the Schott glass is used for the non ED element in the lens. l'm certainly not knocking the scope IMO the visual performance is no different to the earlier gold tube.
