Work sent me far far away again, at the last minute (re: 36hrs notice) to do my old job that I quit because of the short notice of travel. Go Figure...

Anyway I'm here again and as the new scope theory goes, whenever you are in a different hemisphere for a week or two it's cloudy. Tried to pick up that small saxon 65mm MAK to shove in my suitcase but just ran out of time on the way to to the airport. The taxi driver wouldn't even stop at chaddy on the way so I could pick up the lastest issue of S&S. I have two other mags with me though, the Astronomy "Explore the Universe 2006" is pretty good.

Any one know how to split Polaris through clouds without a telescope?

Stu mate,

I am still in China (Dali latitude approx +25) and It has only just cleared to reveal the northern stars. Found Polaris and Ursa Major. The northern triange is at zenith and Arcturus is setting. But my eyes inevitably turned to the south. Scorpious is setting and saggitarius is right on its tail. Then I loked to the sou-East and noticed poor old Fomalhaut, The lonliest star in the universe.

The southern sky ROCKS It must be heartbreaking being a northerner, starring at the southern horizon realizing you can't see the goodies.

It must be even worse for Poms and Canadians The galactic centre must only scrrrape the horizon, poor souls.

Stu, I hope you don't get stuck in Paris for too long or sent somewhere else. The Camp is only 4 weeks away and you are all paid up!

The funny thing is they (work) have booked me to fly home via boston and staying there for two weeks. But I just sent them an email saying that I don't really need to go since I just figured out how to save the world anyway. If they can't give me a good reason I'll change my flight from here to go straight home.

Spewen' I missed the SBS show this week. Everything here's in French.
