Opera House in HDR

While huddling under the Harbour Bridge at 4am, trying in vain to keep relatively dry and out of the wind. I couldn't help but ponder on some of the choices I had made over the previous 12 hours or so.

Firstly, the extra couple of pints of Germany's finest after the Swanies victory over Carlton didn't seem so sweet anymore.
The spicy seafood combination from Chinatown was also making itself known, flushed down with more amber fluid of course.
Why did I leave my warm coat in the car, an umbrella would have also been a nice idea.
Lastly, why the hell am I not in the nice warm king sized bed with my wife back at the Radisson!!!!

Fortunately, the weather played nice long enough to grab some pics. Each made up of 9 bracketed exposures with the D200, 18-70mm lens and compiled in Photo-matrix and ACDSee pro.

Cheers
Deeno

Hi Deeno,

Forget the Raddison mate! An even better plan would have been to take the wife
to the Park Hyatt where not only would have you been comfortable and scored lots of
Brownie Points, you could have taken all these shots from your own balcony.

Though perhaps it is the lot of the artist to suffer for his work?

In any case, brilliant shots and the last one at night is magnificent!

Fantastic shots Deeno.
Love the last one especially, warm colours on a cold night.
well worth the discomfort you went through.

Excellent work Deeno,

Like them all but the 4th image really is the standout for me.
