astounding seeing

I should'nt not be saying this out loud, just in case the weather gods hear about it but I've got the best seeing conditions here tonight that I've seen in 2 years. With the 12.5" setup with no cooldown, I can see an occasional shimmer about every 30 secs on a star about 35 deg above the horizon. Now that's REALLY good!

Pity about the moon though..

9/10 (Shssss!)

Yep 274km as the CROW flies, we got about 7/8 cloud cover right now, with a bright moon. Looking at satpic its clear from the Yorke Peninsula Westward....

By the way Keep an eye on Wednesday, weather models are pointing towards some nasty weather over the Eyre Peninsula. Summer type Thunderstorm setup....

LOL! That will teach you to walk away from your loved one!

The wind here today ripped my side fence down and I thought my sunroon was going to go visit the farm across the road!!

Calmed down a bit now though.

Oh well, if it rains, at least your scope will get a wash!

Sudden rain made me do the quickest pack-up in history a few months back! The whole lot: 12" OTA, Dob Base, EP case and table all packed inside in under 2 minutes.

Lucky I wasn't right up the back paddock that night. I was in the back yard only about 40 feet from the house.
