Did you know Bobbie Vaile?

Bobbie was an Australian astronomer who tragically died young from a brain tumour. Many years ago at UNSW she occupied the Astrophysics lab next to the Physic's Students Room - she was a good sport to endure the noise. Recently she was mentioned in a science blog by Mike Simonsen of the AAVSO,and that blog entry has been nominated for a 'science blogging' award. You can read the original blog here http://simostronomy.blogspot.com/and you can vote for Mike and his article on Bobbie here http://www.3quarksdaily.com/3quarksd...ience-are.html. Like many people with a passion for science and astronomy she waned to communicate that passion, so voting for the blog on Bobbie might be free advertising for Mike Simonsen but it will also be achieving Bobbie's objectives and recognising an Australian who was a good sport.
