Bobbie was an Australian astronomer who tragically died young from a brain tumour. Many years ago at UNSW she occupied the Astrophysics lab next to the Physic's Students Room - she was a good sport to endure the noise. Recently she was mentioned in a science blog by Mike Simonsen of the AAVSO,and that blog entry has been nominated for a 'science blogging' award. You can read the original blog here
