Dust Storm 27/01/09

At work north of Broken Hill we watched this dust storm develop from a thunder storm not far away.
So i grabbed the trusty camera to take a shot, when it hit us there was thunder behind it through the dust then we jumped in the toyota and headed back to the camp.
Cheers Kev.

Hi Kev,
Nice shot, dare say it was a tad warm as well, bet the aircon back at the camp has been getting a work out. This last week hasn't been fit for man nor beast.

Regards
Trev

Incredible shot, Kev.

Would've been even more dramatic to see more scenery (go behind the car).

Was clean

Hi Kev,

Nice shot!

The cause and severity of this type of phenomena can no doubt be correlated
to how clean that white Toyota was beforehand.

Best Regards

Gary

Kev, I tend to agree with Houghy regarding these images being appropriate for the weather calender.

Don't underestimate the quality of your images. These are sights many Australians would never see. The image looking back along the tray of the ute is excellent and is my favorite and well worthy of inclusion in any company.

Regards Trevor

Kev,

Those are stunning!

I agree with David and Trevor, you should submit these to get published. We don't often see this force of nature photographed.

Humayun
