1.25" extension tubes.

Hi guys..

Im looking around at the moment for a good quality 8~10cm long 1.25" extension tube.. At the moment, I have a pair of gso barlows with their lenses removed that totals 8cm extension, but as they only have one grub screw each, and no compression ring, they are not very solid when attached together... I'll be using it for guiding, so flexture of any kind is going to be a real pain...

I cant seem to find anything, and am starting to think that getting something made is going to be the way to go..

If anyone knows where something like this could be purchased, I'd be stoked to find out!

Cheers.
Alex.

When you put them together, perhaps you could wrap a metal sleeve say 25 mm each side of the joint, (perhaps just cut a piece out of a tin can) and apply copious quantities of epoxy to stick it together. Should be solid enough Won't look too pretty though

Jimmy.. If the extension doesnt look pretty, I dont care, as long as the guiding produces pics that are..

Cheers for the thought.. I'll see how I go.. I might have to get one made..

Alex. I’m using Guan Sheng Camera adaptor fix type from Andrews. It is about 65mm long with 1 male and 1 female T tread plus 1.25” nosepiece. About $29 if I remember correctly.

Try Ron at sirus optics at underwood. He has someone locally that can make up anything with a CNC machine.
I have got a few adapters machined up and the work and tollerances were spot on.

Regards Matt.
