Telescopes now in crates
I just watched the removalists crate and load my telescopes on the truck...I'm now most likely a naked eye astronomer only until Northern Hemisphere spring...
As some of you know, I am starting a new job in New York City in a few weeks time. I'll do my best to stay in touch...
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone associated with this wonderful website. Well done to the founders (Mike and Mojo) of this site and the moderators and participants.
Through this site I have made many new friends and also learned a heap. All that and I got the opportunity to enjoy the glorious Southern night sky.
Cheers and Best Wishes for Dark Clear Night Skies!
Scott

Good luck with it all Scott, and please don't be a stranger here. May your scopes travel safely, and may you enjoy clear skies!
I can honestly say that during every observing session I have you, and my stellar seat, to thank for my comfort.

Dear Scott,
I am sure I speak on behalf of all of the folk who have had the pleasure of your company on many occasions at Central Coast observing nights that we have thoroughly enjoyed your company and gentle kindness over the last several years.
Thanks for your postive attitude and generosity with your knowledge and equipment. It has also been lovely to meet your boys, and have a hearty laugh at various times.
I hope the adjustment to the Big Apple goes well, and that this next stage in your career brings great personal satisfaction. I hope the family also transitions well to the new lifestyle.
Of course, IIS remains only a click away, and I look forward to updates in the coming months as you settle into things on the other side of the world.
All my best wishes and regards,

Scott, I echo what Rod said.
It's been great to see you at SPSP and Kulnura meets. You're a bloody nice guy and your kids are just great. I'll still remember those Tim Tam's.
Good luck with the move and with the new job, and the world is a very small place with the internet so please come back and visit us!

Thanks all for the kind comments and warm wishes, I will keep in touch here no doubt...
I have greatly enjoyed my time "down under"...the people, the dark skies and the glorious southern constellations will all be remembered fondly. Paint Ball, SPSP, Pony Club (a time or two)...all to be cherished.
I'll also remember our "Stellar" seat business venture with lots of good memories...I hope the folks at Bintel enjoy it as much as I did.
I'll get the scopes out as soon as I can but Connecticut in January is not nearly as enjoyable at night as Sydney is...and honestly after 7.5 years my blood has gotten a bit thin when it comes to cold weather. But I will adjust...eventually.
Hey, the other bright side is that NEAF is not so far from my new location.
Take Care All...and if you happen to make it to the East Coast, let me know.
Cheers all,
