I wouldn't mind socks and jocks as long as they come inside a new 12" dob.

Great so far.... got woken by my almost 4yo son, the dog kept jumping on me, 17month old son decides to scream house down. Almost 4yo son took cover off our cockateil making it squwark and screech. Wife still pretending to sleep. Got up and got both kids breakfast, now looking at forums. Cant complain I got a ngf-dx3 earlier in the week, for fathers day.

It certainly is good to be a dad, especially on fathers day. The kids jumped on the bed and started to unload there cards and presents on me. To my surprise I have enough money now for that laser that I always wanted.

yes orion, those lasers look great! a few of us went to photon's place on friday night to look at the clouds and he had a green pointing laser. prior to seeing it in action, i honestly thought that it must be a gimmik, how can a laser point to a star? it is just too far away!

must say i was very impressed at how it works!

Well Imagine my surprise this morning when my wife and kids gave me a Paramount ME Mount.
Then I woke up . Well maybe next year......

I recieved a pair of red boardshorts, a T-Shirt and a windchime.
Cool stuff

The red boardies will be handy at star parties.

****Orion, which laser are you getting, ? mW? ******

As I mentioned in another thread - got me a copy of the Herald-Bobroff AstroAtlas for Father's day. I will use it for a while and then I will try to put together a review for the site (no promises though!). Initial thoughts - excellent for those still star hopping their way through the skies. It has maps divided into various levels of detail. The symbology (if you have seen this atlas before you will know what I'm talking about) can be a bit daunting, but you don't have to utilise every aspect of this for the maps to be more than useful. I love it already - can't wait to use it fully in the field.

Hi Orion, I purchased my green laser pointer from Telescopes & Astronomy, South Aust, $125, 5mW output. Mounted on my finder bracket and works like a charm. Andrews were advertising for $99 might be worth a look too.

I did well.....Received a new green fluro jacket to wear at work, new track pants and the dodgiest car wash my son has ever done.... I think he missed the whole left side and the wheels........

Then to my surprise I was taken the local driving range to hit a few balls...

It's the thought that counts...
