Xmas and New Year's parties

Who goes to them ?

My wife and I rather a nice quite intimate at home with family "party" with a few good DVDs maybe and grazing on cold meats and nibblelies.

Might head to Speers Point to watch the fireworks or to Stockton to see the fireworks from across the harbour if the mood takes us on NY Eve (wife is reluctant to go out on NYE - too many pisspots on the road). Maybe I better get that TC80N3 before Xmas.

Normally I would do the work x-mas party and a family x-mas party, but since the company I work for is facing tight economic times (despite posting US$8.3B net income after tax over the last four quarters) the work x-mas party has been cancelled.
