Picked up a Canon 1000D on the weekend and last night tested it out on good old Orion.
The image is 7 x 5 min subs with 3 x 5 min darks taken through an ED 80. Stacked in DeepSkyStacker with the saturation pushed up a bit to get some colour.
In my excitement I forgot to set the colour space to Adobe RGB so it is on S RGB.
Seems to work OK. The new EOS Utility was nice and allows you to use the Bulb setting from the computer and you can set the length of the shot too.
