Venus & Jupiter 1st Sept

Finally had some great weather tonight for this "close encounter".
Took these two with the 300D and 18mm lens, 200 ISO, approx 15 sec.
My son posed for the second one while I used a red torch to illuminate the foreground.

Great shoots rocketboy ... we had a nice view of the close encounter here in Gove Tonight.
I could pick up the two of them in the one field of view with the 40mm in the 10" dob.
We were also treated to a Transit of Io across the face of Jupiter too.

Lovely shots Andrew, great idea for the second one. Send it into the mags, I can see that gracing a glossy spread.
