Amazing Cat

This one blew me away.

Adam block is one of those quiet achievers (albeit with a *really nice telescope* at a great site) that consistently produces great images.....

That is beautiful. I've only ever seen photos of the inner shells - never realized there was such delicate "lacework" outside that! Thanks Peter.

To be honest any image at http://gallery.rcopticalsystems.com/ by anyone looks stunning. Do any of those people know that investing in depreciating assets is not a good idea.

How do they get a return from the investment?
I mean we're talking $35K minimum.....
That is not a hobby it's a business...

You could say the same thing about a ferrari or a porsche, but if fast cars aren't your thing and you have $100K+ to spend then why not spend it on your hobby?

I've never seen the outer shells as well, I suppose that he used some sort of HDR processing?

If you have to ask then you can't afford one....

Seriously, we are in the institutional league here (that particular telescope belongs to a University) ... about $US250k

Depreciating assets?

Try boating.... Bring up two children.... or a second wife.... now that's expensive!

BTW last time I checked....you can get more for nearly any Astro-Physics scope on Astromart than what they cost when they were new.
