My New home Has arrived

Hi Guys, as some of you may know, I had some problems with a new caravan we bought last year and after it's first trip to Vic/ South it was returned to the dealer for a refund, that is along story and I wont bore you about it here.

Anyway we decided that we would have another one custom built by a local fellow who specializes in that sort of thing, here in Ballarat.

He promised it would be finished by the start of Vic/South which is 31st of October, and I'm pleased to say we picked it up late today at about 6pm, and it is a work of art, we ordered it in Dec 2007.

So it was collected today, and it will make the trip to Vic/South Wednesday morning.

Talk about cutting it fine.

Leon

Excellent Leon - good on you!

Caravans have progressed in leaps and bounds over the past few years. They're more comfy and practical than a lot of homes!

I'll be looking for one soon - so that we can tour the dog show circuit and not feel that we're wasting time coming and going in campertrailers and tents - setup & breakdown is just too long an exercise to do it as many times a month as we do. Can't wait for the next 4WD/Caravan show.

Very nice Leon, I'm sure you will have some great trips with that setup.

The wife and I were looking at some at the Home & Leisure show in Canberra last weekend and as you said some are just works of art.

Even the humble camper trailer has come a long way since the last time I looked.

Cheers

The name is a nice touch, is it by coincidence or design? I was also admiring the paintwork on your car, I just love that colour change when the sun hits it.

Ok, Ric first, not the name wasn't just a coincidence, the fellow that makes these vans, id Called Eureka Caravans, and one can choose the name for the van with any name relating to the Eureka Rebellion, so Southern Cross it was.

The paint work on the car is called Morpehis, or something like that and has a sort of pinkish tint to it when the Sun hits it, its a bugger to keep clean though.

And to Mt AstraTraveller, it was possible to get a van that colour but it would have cost twice as much, so white it had to be, but it still looks great, I reckon.

Very nice indeed Leon.

I'd love to have a caravan, but with our lot I'd need something the size of a small house if I were to stand a chance of keeping the peace Enjoy your travels hey.

And yes, some pics of the inside would be great

Cheers,

Enjoy that new caravan Leon, its great way to holiday.

We've been caravanning for something like 20 years now, and loved every minute of it.

Apart from around UK, we take the Ferry across to France, and have toured most of Europe with it.

Enjoy!!
