Can't help myself; old habits die hard. Everytime I see a good image I have to check it out...your never know.
Well, need your help to re-check the original image. If you look closely at the image of the star 58 Hydra, just above, towards 2 O'clock you'll see a small red image. This doesn't appear on the TheSky or CdC charts. It's equivalent to a star of 11.4 mag. Probably a hot pixel, but if you look at the original, zoomed in you should see whether or not this particular spot looks like the other faint stars or a definate hot pixel.
Has anyone else got a recent image of this area around 58 Hydra for comparison??????
