Inner planets and more aperture

I'm trying to find the time to snap the planets in the western in the lead-up to the closest approach of Mars and Venus tomorrow night. The shots I took last night were a bit closed up... f8 at 70 mm. Opened it up to f4 tonight and got a smoother image.

Also a bit of cloud about... gives the shot a certain Je ne sais pas, but I don't know what it is.

Keep them coming, I do like these widefields!

Very nice Tony, the clouds do add a little something to the pic.

Had a look outside a few moments ago and got a brief look before cloud came across. I believe that tomorow night Venus and Mars are slightly more together but our forcast is for rain building, oh well, but we do need it.
