Hi all,
What to do with a clear sky and 95% full moon... Well don't look at it through the telescope!!! It too darn bright! Image it instead.
Well we don't get many clear nights over here, so when it is clear you do what you can. I spent most of the night fine tunning polar alignment, working out how to autoguide with the DSI (it's not easy!!), and generally mucking around. Just before packing it up I decided to check out the moon. It had me spell bound visually for a good 15mins. It's amazing what you miss when you neglect an object for so long! Saw a nice "T" feature and decided to image it. Seeing wasn't that good, and the result is just ok.
Have no idea what the official name/s for this feature is/are, but from now on I'm calling it the Star-Mate T Crater.

Cheers
