The weather is MY fault - sorry...

I went out this afternoon and bought a new telescope - so sorry for the inclement weather on (at least) the east coast.

I went out and splurged $59.00 (down from $79!!) on a 79mm, 350 power (!!!!) "Nuetonian Refector" from the local Warehouse store. It came with 3 high-power eyepieces and a moon filter. The alt-az mount has only 20 degrees of loose flop - not bad!! I tried a few before I picked me the best one!

What a store! You can buy tennis balls, cloth nappies, televisions with wierd names, cans of degreaser, chipboard TV stands, lollies AND telescopes all under the one roof. Brilliant!!

Dam you. The skies only just started to clear up after I bought my telescope. Now we have clouds and rain again.

And all along I thought it was tropical storm Fay, hurricane Gustav and now we're watching tropical storm Hanna. It's gonna be a busy hurricane season on this side of the big pond. So far just tons of rain for me. I was the ONLY fool at the car wash yesterday vacuuming out my car. lol. Nope, didn't bother to wash my car....but knew there would be no lines and I'd get to hog the equipment.

Here's hoping we all get some sunshine and clear skies. We're all overdue.
And I'm waterlogged.

So I'm guessing buying a telescope is like washing your car....and guarantees rain. I'd say it's worth the odds~

If you give them away that doesn't count. It will only rain over the Cooma area.
