Nice one Vingo, but is it a local bird, or an exotic species? The only local thing that seems to fit the bill is a swamp harrier, with the yellow eyes, but it looks a bit stockier than a harrier from the mug shot.

i photographed a picture in a mag with my macro gear... so real close

just kidding, this was at featherdale (a wildlife park in sydney) so getting close wasnt really a problem, just framing was.

I love the image Dave, it gives such a different dimension with these close up shots your producing.
