For sale:
Custom made 220mm round pier approx 1400mm high and 6.4mm wall thickness. With 10mm thick square base and gussets/supports. I got half way through making this pier when I realized the size of it and how big it would look in our small back courtyard (the wife noticed too!)
. The original plan was to mount the base below gound level (to hide the supports for aesthetics). I ended up using a smaller tubed pier that I had used previously but heavily braced, and now is removable.
The adjustable top mounting plate is made up but not mounted. The pier can be cut down and the top mount plate fitted at appropriate height. The pier could also used in an observatory that has a suspended floor due to its height.
The tube is massively strong and because the tube is sealed it can be concrete filled.
