Well I did it and bought a Ha filter for those moonlit nights.
I am wondering if any of you can help me. I have heard about incorporating Ha data into RGB data to enhance an image. I am using a QHY8 one shot colour camera and wonder what is the best way to do this and is it worth doing this.
Please help and thanks
Yes, Mike and Robin have provided excellent links, read em both, youll find Ha as the lumanence channel will make a huge difference to yr images, more stucture detail, tighter stars, less light pollution effects, excellent purchase. You will have to expose longer with the Ha filter, but the effort is worth it.
Thanks everyone, I will read them both. Looking forward to giving it a try as soon as I can get some clear sky. Can't really complain we need the rain and snow to keep our town alive. Just wish it was a bit warmer. Hope it clears for BSG this year.
