deep Sky Stacker question

Just when you thought everything is going fine I have come across a problem that I need help with. I have always been able to stack images and process them until about three days ago. When I try to stack images now the program goes through the registering and then stacking but instead of the final image coming up on the screen above the colour graphs I get nothing. It says saving to my drive as autosave 006 tif but when I go to open it I get nothing and if i go to open it in gimp i get some message with the problem with gimp exe. I have unistalled both and reinstalled them but same. Three days ago we did fiddle with having the images save on the computer as well as on the camera card (400d) so we could see the image as we took it. This was done using Deep sky stacker live. I'm lost. If any one can suggest please do.

I saw similar symptoms... .. and the problem was caused by running low on storage space on HD. It dissapeared when I cleaned all Autosave.tif files (which are useless anyway IMO).
