Favourite Cassini Image Of Saturn

...an easier poll than trying to estimate comet impact craters...

Hard to believe, but it's one year since Cassini arrived at Saturn.

On JPL's Cassini website (which I sadly admit to visiting every day since Cassini arrived), they're celebrating by conducting a poll as to what is the favourite image (...thus far - we're only one year into a very long mission).

http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/multimedia/poll/index.cfm

Visit the website. Cast your vote, but hurry before they announce the results. Then come back here and tell us why.

I voted for "The Dragon Storm" But it was a close call with "Saturn in all its splender"

Saturn in all its splender.
A lot of intriging shots, like the wavemaker moon, but I found this one appealing.

'Unravelling Saturns Rings' for me! It is a fantastic photo. Shows both Planet and rings close-up and in fine detail. Nice colour too.

Phobos,

The Mimas image is a great shot.

What's interesting is that Star Wars and the Death Star came out in 1977, a few years before any probe imaged Mimas and the whopper of a crater. So when the images came in, everyone immediately thought - "Death Star".

The results are in.

Titan's true colour (as taken by Huygens - good point, Chrissyo) is the winner. It's interesting to look at the graph to see the proportions of votes that each image received.
