Chost of Jupiter with $300 Qguider

Though not intended for DSO imaging, the I used my uncooled monochrome Qguider cam to image this. Stack of 50 ten sec images. No filters used. 10 incg f5.6 Newtonian. Unguided. Processed as raw.fit files in Registax.

Yep i'm learning fast that you don't have to spend a fortune. Gotta get a mount though.

Interesting.
I've not bothered using my Q-guider to actually image. Good result.
The noise is much lower when it's colder. I used mine midwinter here at ~-5decC and there was very little noise just frost on the scope and me.

Nice capture. Get a dark frame to remove some lines/noise. It helps.

Theo.
