Sunspots - 3rd July

Took these on Sunday, only just got around to processing them. There was a nice band of sunspots across the equator of the sun, and I tried to get enough avi's to be able to form a mosaic.. but I didn't take enough avi's and unfortunately the seeing was very ordinary, so autostitch had a hard time finding image matches.

Here's the best of the bunch, one day i'll get some decent seeing.

Very nice! Just a question Mike why are the images in grey scale. Is it because of the solar filter?

I've got a white light solar filter which gives a "white" view through the eyepiece, as well as through the ToUcam. So when I capture avi's of the sun with the ToUcam, I check the "black & white" box and process them in registax as black&white as well.

Some solar filters artifically introduce the yellow colour, I believe.
