Smile Last image from way back in 2007- M42

Hi guys and Gals,
Hope everyone had a great chrisy and a great new year...
Well this is my last image from 2007 taken on the 29th dec.
Luckily it was a great night with the moon and the clouds staying away just long enough to get all the exposures done.
Now I have autoguiding running I decided to drop back to iso 400 for this run of images. Everything went perfectly except my focus was a tad soft, but I am still very happy with the final result..
It has had only minimal processing like curves, levels, brightness/contrast and some noise removal as well as layering the shorter exposures into the 8 min ones to remove burnout etc.
Image is 8 x 8 min, 5 x 4 min, 5 x 2 min, 5 x 1 min and 5 x 30sec at 400 iso and my 6" newtonian and canon 300D
I think its one of my best attempts so far of M42 up to date..
All comments most welcome!..
Image slightly cropped for posting!
cheers Gary

Beautiful image Gary. A wonderful job of blending the short exposures with the 8mins. Overall image really pleasing to look at. Just enough colour and nice background balance.

Well done Gary, very pleasing to the eye with all the intricate colours and detail.

You nailed that one very nicely to end 2007.

Cheers

Looking good Gary. As the other have mentioned, the colours look well balanced and "correct" (as we know them to be). A visually pleasing image indeed.
