Anyone at all know how to buy a 7Kg Weight from Vixen?

This seemingly trivial task is proving to be anything but. None of the Australian suppliers seem to be able to order them in without a part number - nowhere on the web can I find a part number, the distributors won't respond to the local retailers when they ask for a part number!

The Vixen Atlux (old, new and latest version) is typicall sold with one 3.7 and one 7 kg weight - and rated to 22 Kgs of counter weights - but you can't seem to order these beasts wihout the stupid part number.

Help please!

Hi Matthew

Here is a cropped scan from a Vixen catalogue for the GPDX showing the GP weights. Maybe someone at the retailers can use these to establish the numbering sequence for the Atlux versions?

My GPDX weights are for a 20mm DEC shaft, but I think the Atlux shaft is a different diameter?

Otherwise, I think Mick Pinner produces some nice SS weights – might be cheaper and less frustrating going through him?

Cheers

Dennis

Yep, local is where I would be headed as well, with Mick top of the list.
If I ever buy a mount overseas, usually I buy it with C/W's, and get them made locally.

Searching around, I see reference to a 7.5kg counterweight, which some places have listed as an "sx7.5". I doubt that is the number vixen uses, and it seems to be only on European sites.

I also had a look through Vixen's English and Japanese web sites, and could find nothing larger than the 3.7kg.
