Exclamation Astronomy 2008 Yearbook On-Sale!

From the IceInSpace Homepage

Hi all

The fabulous Astronomy 2008 Yearbook by Quasar Publishing is now available*.

Order your Astronomy 2008 Yearbook through IceInSpace for only $23 delivered to your door.

It's a must-have yearly almanac with tonnes of info about observing the night sky during 2008. It contains star charts and other ephemeris, dates and details of important astro events during the year and much more.

As well as the usual features, this year's book includes updated coverage of the December 2007 opposition of Mars (including observing its moons), Antartic astronomy and astronomical imaging with a webcam.

The yearbook has been designed for anyone who looks at the night sky whether they are using just their eyes, a pair of binoculars or a telescope. The book has something for everyone from the basic novice up to the advanced amateur astronomer. This includes those with a casual interest who might just want to know, "what is that bright star next to the Moon?"

Go to the Astronomy 2008 Yearbook Order Form to order your copy now.

* Books will be available to ship in early November.

Thanks

Hi Mike,

You seem to have forgotten to mention who wrote the astronomical imaging article - it looks great btw.

Regards

Can you match Oz S&T's $10 discount card that came with the last edition?

No problem, I'll save it for something else from their store.

My order for one, maybe two will be in shortly, thanks Mike.

I was thinking that, but didn't feel cheeky enough to ask.
More stickers to hand out at astro events would be nice too. Pretty please. Only if you have any to spare.

Thanks to those that have been placing orders. Just a couple of points:

1) Remember to press Submit to submit your order. The Preview Order button shows you a summary of what you're about to order, but then you need to press SUBMIT after that. A few people have stopped at "Preview Order" and not actually pressed Submit.

2) The books will be available early November. I'll let you know when I get them - they'll be sent out after that.

I got an email response - I guess that's proof I pressed the submit button. No email response - you didn't press the submit button (or are in the black book!)

Hi all

I'm expecting to receive the books tomorrow, so with any luck, I'll be sending them out by the end of the week.

Get your orders in quickly as there's limited stock!

I received an advance copy late last week, and as expected, it's a fantatic read with loads of info.

Cool Astronomy 2008 Yearbook wanted

Aloha from Hawai`i,

The Astronomy 2008 Yearbook has an order from me but I have a feeling there might need to be a surcharge for shipping to Hawai`i. Also, not sure how to do the Direct Deposit method of payment from here.

No hurry, of course, but I do have a handy VISA Debit card -- my company way of paying for items -- if that were usable for you in some way not revealed. You get your money immediately that way.

Please let me know if there is an additional amount due for shipping to the Big Island of Hawaii ZIP 96749 and any advice on the steps necessary to get my money to you. Looking forward to seeing the book and glad to have some way to participate in your wonderful web site.

Iceman,

I did receive a confirmation this morning but no response to my request for advice on paying from Hawai`i to Australia. Never did that and don't fully comprehend the "direct deposit" mechanism.

Also wondered if you need an additional amount for sending it to Hawai`i which will be happily paid if so.

Mahalo,
Bill

Hi Bill

Thanks for your order. It was received ok.

For overseas postage (for you, and anyone else from overseas), please add an additional AU$5 to the total cost. The best way for international orders to make payment, is via paypal.

If you don't have a paypal account, you can easily sign up for one at www.paypal.com. You can then make payments to international addresses using credit card, bank account, etc. The payment can be made to the address mike@iceinspace.com.au.

If you want to avoid paypal, the only other option is to send an international money order to the IceInSpace postal address. They'll probably charge you extra for an international money order - you can get them at post offices I believe.

Please contact me via PM or email if you're still stuck.

Thanks

You could also try Western Union, you can pick up the money at any
foriegn exchange dotted around the city. It the best way to transfer
money internationaly in my book, and saves you the hassle of setting
up a pay-pal account.
