Half a Venus - Sunday morning

Hi all

Venus is now 50% illuminated, growing in phase and shrinking in diameter - on its way to superior conjunction with the Sun.

As indicated in the Mars thread, the seeing was good and even though Venus was only 20° altitude I was able to capture probably my sharpest Venus ever (definitely my best this year). I'm still waiting for the UV filter to try and capture some cloud details Hopefully i'll receive it before this morning apparition is over!

Best 300/2500 frames stacked, captured with my 12" newt on EQ6, DMK21AF04, 5x powermate + Astronomik Red filter.

Thanks for looking.
