I wasn't actually planning on capturing any images last night..... the moon was very full and bright, and about 30 degrees from M42, but I decided to give LRGB a try.
This is luminance only, not happy with the LRGB version! I am quite happy with the level of detail captured, I do need to work on my layer masking though....
Taken with ED80 (f/7.5) and DSI Pro II. It is a composite of 10x2s, 10x4s and 10x32s subs, darks and flats applied, and stacked in Nebulosity. All subsequent processing in PS CS2. Would have preferred it without the moon, but have to take clear nights when they come - they seem few and far between around here sometimes

Look forward to some criticism.....
