The Silver Coin Galaxy - NGC 253

Hello everyone,

Here's my latest effort, the grand southern galaxy NGC 253.

This exposure is a 90-min. exposure (30 x 3-min. sub-frames)
with the EOS300D set to ISO400.

Other imaging details and a higher resolution image can be found
at this link http://www.skylab.com.au/pmsa/ngc253_page3.html

Hope ya all like it...

And a special thanks to tornado33 (Scott) and H0ughy (David) for
their comments which assisted me in the making the image better
than my original "cut".

Great image Paul. Is this taken through the 12" GSO?

Yep, definately yhe best DSLR image of that object Ive ever seen. The fine mottling of the dust areas is striking and gives it the "taken with a large format astroCCD camera" look.

Thanks all for your comments. Yes Peter_4059 this image was taken with my $900 12" GSO telescope, which incidentially impresses me that such a cheap 'scope can produce such good images.
