Here's a full resolution crop of the Ant Nebula (Menzel3) in Norma.
4x5mins ISO400 uv/ir filter, modded 350D, MPCC coma corrector, hand guided off axis. 10 inch f5.6 newtonian.
Seeing seemed to deteriorate as the imaging went on as the guidestar started out with only slight jittering then seemed to jump around quite a bit later on.
The nebula is 25 arc seconds in size.

Thanks all
No the Bug is somewhat bigger and brighter, in the tail of scorpious
I had the strongly comatic guidestar along one of the reticle lines, so it was easy to see a thin white line behine the red line of the reticle, so even a slight amount of movement in RA could be observed and guided out.

Hey Scott, I was looking at this and musingto myself the theme of the Pink Panther, mumbling dead ant , dead ant, dead ant, dead ant, deadant......you know how that goes. Wonderful shot mate! Last night I noticed that there were heaps of particles in the atmosphere, and the resultant glow of the lights of the city virtually made the sky disappear.
It is indeed very pleasing result. And I wonder what would look like added in to old data?
Tornado : one of the things that i like in this far forum (except You all members of course ), is that unusual DSO's in my country can be seen easily by searching here...
