Pre Eclipse Test Shots

Hi All,

Finally got a clear night to try some lunar shots. I tested out the A610 camera with a lens adapter attached to the scopetronix digi-t. The only EP I have that it fits is my 25mm. My TV 32mm Plosl is to big to fit, but its the right focal length to get a full frame shot of the moon. I worked with the 25mm and used a focal reducer to fit the moon into the frame. The 25 mm also means that I am not using the whole frame due to vignetting.

I noticed straight away that at no zoom I had an image of the moon but with a black spot (the central obstruction) in the middle of the frame. However once i pressed the shutter down to focus the spot goes away and I get s nice shot. Not sure why this happens, perhaps someone could explain.

Here are some shots.

The last one shows the black spot, I had to set the camera to AP mode and set F8 to get it.

Regards
