Sulphur Crested Cockatoo

We have a tame cocky which visits us nearly every day. We assume he has escaped or has been released.

He is beautiful and chats away to us. We haven't worked out exactly what he's saying yet but he's quite a chatterbox.

We hope he remains safe as it's wonderful to see him flying free and enjoying his natural environment.

I took the two photos with the Sony Cybershot standing very close to him NO ZOOM.

Posted this thread on 22nd and unfortunately we haven't sighted the cocky since.

It's a worry not knowing what has happened to him. We just hope that he hasn't been injured as he was always walking around on the ground and climbing onto wire fences and verandas etc instead of flying onto them There was nothing wrong with him as far as flying but he just seemed to like walking around once he flew in which could have been dangerous for him of course.

We're hoping he is OK and if someone has caught him they take care of this beautiful bird. Although we only met him a few weeks ago he was definitely a character.

Maybe.....just maybe he is still OK and has just moved on.
